Goodwill Store

Project Location: Elwood, Town of Huntington, NY
Client: Larcon Realty Corp

The project was a 3,200-sf addition to an existing Goodwill retail store, located on Jericho Turnpike, NYS RT 25, in Elwood, Town of Huntington.  The building addition was between the existing structure and the State Road ROW, requiring a parking variance, Amended Site Plan approval, remediation of the existing sanitary system, upgraded landscaping and a NYSDOT Highway Work Permit. A parking variance was obtained due to a deficiency of 8 stalls.

Nelson + Pope’s services also included the surveying, engineering, design and preparation of plans for the modification of the project’s existing site improvements and infrastructure, and New York State Department of Transportation Highway Work Permit. During construction, N+P provided construction technical assistance and as-constructed surveying. N+P staff assisted the Client in the procurement of municipal permitting and approvals.
