The 59th Annual Archi Awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Long Island, was held on October 26th. N+P was one of 20 participating firms in the Architecture sector and was nominated for multiple projects in 3 of the 17 designated categories.
For the category titled, “New Commercial Facilities (Under $4 million)” N+P held two nominations! They included:
1) Del Vino Vineyards Winery & Wine Processing Facility: The vacant building was expanded considerably to accommodate a large wine processing room, tasting area and space to take in the lush views of the vineyards on the beautifully landscaped site. N+P’s architectural and engineering teams reconfigured and expanded to the home which was inspired by a rustic yet stately aesthetic. The use of locally sourced stone throughout the façade and outdoor patios enhanced the building’s presence and solidified its rich heritage. 2) New Bar & Restaurant for 317 Main Street: The goal of the project was to reimagine the vacant retail space in Farmingdale for a trendy bar & restaurant known as 317 Main Street. The set up allowed patrons to enjoy a quiet meal while revelers could simultaneously enjoy the live musical entertainment in the club room. A new state-of-the-art commercial kitchen was planned, complete ample food prep areas, and walk-in refrigerators and freezers. Two independent bar areas served the facility, resulting in a space which became an essential local “hot spot” that provides a unique dining experience.
