Traffic Signals

Traffic Signals have come a long way! Up until the 1900s in the United States, before Traffic Signals were invented, traffic signs were controlled by police officers during the daytime. In the evenings, gas was used to illuminate the crossing areas. Fast forward to 2024 now we have timed signals, preemption, ADA compliance and pedestrian safety, which is of the utmost importance.

N+P’s Transportation Department has played a significant role on many State, County, Town, and Village roadways in the design, redesign and construction of existing traffic signals, new traffic signals and other associated roadway improvements.
