This holiday season, conifers may get a bit more attention, however it is important to recognize the importance and beauty of all evergreen trees and shrubs.
“Evergreen” means plants that retain their color of foliage and texture year-round. Evergreens, such as trees, help the environment in ways including providing oxygen, stormwater runoff and pollutant filtration, wildlife habitation, and protecting waterways.
Under an on-call agreement with the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, N+P performs topographical surveys and tree surveys for street median flood mitigation at various locations in New York City.
As an essential part of the scope, N+P provides a detailed inventory and assessment of trees and stumps that may be impacted by green infrastructure construction. N+P provides recommendations for transplant or removal based on assessment of certified arborist which was provided by our environmental affiliate @NPV (TAG), along with performing a series of street tree quality inventories.
